Game Environment Artist
At Focuspoint Studios, we’re building a strong, talented team to work on exciting Unreal Engine projects. As part of the Reignite Group, alongside Zeal (our game framework division) and Current Games (our publishing arm), we operate within an ecosystem that fosters innovation, cross-discipline collaboration, and technical excellence across all facets of game development.
Our focus is on full-cycle development, co-development, and porting games to multiple platforms. We are a team of highly experienced professionals and ambitious talent, all working together to create high-quality games in a supportive, knowledge-driven environment, where technical precision and artistic vision go hand in hand.
We’re currently looking for a versatile 3D Artist to join our team. Someone who enjoys working across the full 3D pipeline, from modeling and texturing to set-dressing and scene building. And next to that, someone who thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment. If you’re looking for a role where you get to contribute across multiple stages of production and are not limited to just modeling, this might be the right fit for you!
How you’ll make an impact:
- Construct efficient, high-quality, and game-ready models for our games.
- Contribute to set-dressing and visual storytelling through environment building and composition.
- Collaborate closely with other artists, designers, and developers to ensure visual consistency and technical performance.
- Build and maintain clean, organized asset libraries and adhere to project-specific naming conventions and optimization standards.
- Take part in reviews and internal art discussions to ensure a balance between aesthetics, performance, and gameplay needs.
What we are looking for:
- Degree in Game Art or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a 3D Artist in a professional setting, with at least one shipped title.
- Experience developing for console, handheld and/or PC platforms.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine (including working with Blueprints, setting up assets, and environment creation).
- Proficiency in Blender, Substance Painter and Photoshop.
- Comfortable working across the full 3D pipeline (modeling, UVs, texturing, set-dressing, optimization) with a solid understanding of industry best practices like modular asset workflows and PBR material creation.
- Knowledge of game development pipelines and Art documentation best practices.
- A strong portfolio that showcases your best work (preferably with in engine renders or scenes).
- Someone who’s curious, adaptable, and thrives in an environment where continuous learning and shared growth are integral to our collaborative success.
- Strong English communication skills in both verbal and written capacity.
- Experience collaborating with external development studios.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
What makes you stand out:
- Experience working on both original IP and co-development projects.
- Well-versed in current development trends and eager to explore new tools, technologies, and innovations.
- Experience working in smaller development team sizes.
Why you will love working at Focuspoint:
